“We don’t need a photographer – we can just use our phones.”
Hands up if you’ve heard this at a planning meeting? 🙋♂️
Maybe you’ve even said it yourself? Sometime’s that’s fine, especially if you just need a quick record of the event happening. But if you actually want your event to have a lasting impact, it’s worth asking yourself these four questions:
1️⃣ Do you want more than just a photo of a room full of people (mostly unrecognisable)?
2️⃣ Do you want to capture the interactions and networking that take place?
3️⃣ Do you want to showcase engagement, reactions and real emotions from your audience?
4️⃣ Do you want your event to be talked about long after the chairs are stacked away?
If that’s a yes for all four, then think about getting a professional photographer along to your next event.
Great event photography is about telling the story of the event, making it shareable, and extending its reach beyond the room. You’ll have press-ready images, a gallery to share with attendees (who will no doubt share them too), and content that can be used across your marketing long after the event has ended.
